Based next to Lanercost Priory and with Hadrians Wall only 500 yards away we are an ideal location to stop of for a well earned rest or just to chill out and relax in magnificent surroundings. We have a Cafe culture with a Cumbrian twist.
Set in the valley of the river Irthing we offer quality food and refreshements in a pleasant setting. Our cafe is open and spacious with plenty of natural light and easy chairs to relax in.
So what's on at the Tea room? Well we have been fortunate enough to welcome Annette Gibbons from Cumbria on a plate to talk to us about local produce and good cooking. You can read the review by Christian Dymond here. We also have videos and recipes on previous blogs ( go to the bottom of the blog to look within the archives).
We are also delighted to introduce Argentine Tango to Lanercost. Howard and Tanya have trained in Buenos Aires and will taking classes on Sunday afternoons. You can read a little bit more on this blog.
