Newsletter - November 2010

What's happening next week at Lanercost:

Jewellery Appreciation Day - Tuesday 23 November
with Susan Rumfitt, jewellery expert with the BBC Antiques Roadshow, together with Julian Thomson will be in The Gallery with highlights from the jewellery section of the December Fine Art sale from Anderson & Garland Auctioneers.  They'll also be able to value any jewellery you may bring along in a relaxed appointment.

Cumbrian Christmas Market in Carlisle - Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 November in Carlisle city centre. Come and see us in our Lanercost log cabin with Christmas goodies on sale (including our own Luxury Brandy Mincemeat and Christmas biscuits made by Deborah).  Enjoy all the festive atmosphere of this new event for the city and show your support for Carlisle Tourism Partnership and the Cumberland News who have worked hard to bring something new (and Cumbrian!) to the city.

Father Christmas lights the Lanercost tree in the tea room & The Lanercost Martinmas Fair at the Dacre Hall - Saturday 27 November.

Visit the Martinmas Fair
at 2.00p.m in the Dacre Hall next door and then pop in and see Father Christmas light our tree.  This was one of our most popular events last year, with the real Father Christmas of course, entertaining both young and young at heart all afternoon and lighting our tree at 3.30p.m.
Don't forget our new Lanercost Weekend Brunch, served 10.00-1.00 every Saturday & Sunday.
And our festive lunchtime menu is soon available for celebrating friends and family gatherings or for that Christmas lunch to entertain business clients, with a private room available if required.
Do your Christmas gift shopping at the same time with hampers & gift sets available.
Whatever the occasion, for whatever the reason, it would be lovely to see you!
kind regards

Mike & Victoria
